Botanical Love face cream is a thick, non-greasy formula enriched with certified organic essential oils that smooths, moisturises and revitalises the skin.
 
We realise that everyones skin type is different, which is why we have recently expanded our range to include not just our everyday facecream, but also provide customers with the opportunity to customise their cream to suit their skin type.
 
We reccommend that you choose the facecream blend that best suits your skin type, and then within that you can customise your cream to include one, a few, or all of the oils on offer. You may wish to customise your blend to a paritcular smell, or simply include all oils. There is no limit to the number you choose, but keep in mind that some oils will get lost amongst more stronger smelling ones so the more you choose- the less likely that you will be able to idenify individual oils. The good news is that if you do select all oils, it will still smell amazing. Unlike fragrance oils which can smell nice but are harmful to the skin- the more oils used in your blend, the more it benefits your skin as each oil targes specific health benefits.
 
Please note: All face cream bases will include carrot and frankinsence organic essential oil as standard. If you do not want either of these included, please specifiy in your order.

Carrot oil (included as standard):
Carrot seed oil is rich in antioxidants, which makes it the perfect anti-ageing ingredient. It is beneficial as a rejuvenator for ageing skin. These antioxidants also protect your skin from sun damage. Carrot seed oil has potent antibacterial properties. It inhibits the growth of many harmful bacteria on the skin. The oil targets the bacteria alone and does not cause any damage to the underlying skin. Carrot seed oil exhibits anti-inflammatory properties and is believed to be soothing to the skin and scalp and helps to reduce redness, irritation and acne.
 
Frankinsence (included as standard):
Frankincense Organic Essential Oil is one of the most expensive oils to purchase but is well worth the money as it is so nourishing and beneficial for your skin. Frankincense oil is a natural astringent. This means that it is beneficial in skin care as it is believed to help improve the skin’s natural appearance by reducing the presence of skin blemishes, and heal imperfections and conditions including acne scars, discolouration, and hyperpigmentation. The use of Frankincense Organic Essential Oil in face cream can also work as an alternative to facial toners as it contains skin-nourishing and cooling properties that help remove traces of oil and makeup, and excess dirt.
 
Tangerine:
Tangerine Organic Essential Oil is believed to be particularly helpful for treating skin conditions such as irritation and acne. Its antifungal and antiseptic properties help to prevent skin infections. The strong antioxidant and antibacterial qualities contained in the phytochemicals of tangerine oil help to remove any bacteria on the surface of the skin. This bacteria often worsens acne or causes further inflammation and redness. Tangerine Organic Essential Oil is also believed to act as a natural skin toner by helping to balance and reduce the excess sebum oil that is common to oily and combination skin types. This is also one of the main causes of blemishes on our face because excess sebum blocks up skin pores. So by treating your skin, the belief is that you can actively reduce the amount of blemishes and improve your complexion over time.
 
Ylang Ylang:
Ylang Ylang Organic Essential Oil is known to balance and regulate oil production in the skin, while also soothing inflammation and irritation. It enhances circulation, encourages the growth of new skin, contributes and maintains hydration and prevents infections. It is believed that its natural antiseptic properties can heal minor cuts or cracks caused by excessively dry skin by boosting the regenerative process of the epidermis skin layer.
 
Patchouli:
Patchouli Organic Essential Oil contains a variety of skin benefits that promote healthy, smooth and glowing skin. Patchouli is also believed to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, blemishes, and minor skin imperfections.
 
Sandlewood:
Sandlewood Organic Essential oil has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, antiseptic and astringent properties. Its anti-inflammatory properties have been found to assist with clearing acne, and relieving itchiness and inflammation of the skin. Sandlewood oil is also believed to help prevent pimples, acne and sores from forming due to its antiseptic and antibacterial properties! It does this by causing skin proteins to coagulate, which helps to protect your skin from breakouts and allergies. Sandlewood is also especially high in antioxidants which can help fight free radicals that cause age-related skin damage. Antioxidants have also been found to improve blood circulation, remove toxins and help restore your skin’s elasticity, which may help reduce signs of aging.
 
Lavendar:
Lavender Organic Essential Oil is one of my favourite oils to use in my skincare range because it can benefit the skin in so many ways. Lavender Organic Essential Oil contains antifungal properties to help reduce inflammation and kill bacteria, which may help to prevent and heal acne breakouts. The betacaryophyllene in the oil acts as a natural anti-inflammatory that make it great for soothing and healing skin that's irritated or reddened from the sun, insect bites, or bacteria. Organic Lavender Organic Essential Oil contains antioxidants that can help tackle free radicals and may reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. More research is needed, however, to confirm these effects.
 
Palmarossa: 
Palmarosa Organic Essential Oil works to balance the sebum production in the skin to help maintain oil levels. With its antibacterial properties, Palmarosa oil is great for treating oily, acne-prone skin. It contains a high percentage of geraniol, which may also support clean, healthy-looking skin as well as balance moisture levels in the skin.
