Be inspired by nature

2 hr
150 Australian dollars
Henderson Road

Service Description

Leave the world behind you to spend some time immersing in the natural beauty of native flowers. This workshop is all about having fun, being creative, learning some new skills and building some awareness around sustainable floristry practices. The knowledge you learn will allow you to continue crafting beautiful flower arrangements long after the class is finished. If you are ready and keen to relax, laugh and unwind as you make your very own bouquet of glorious fresh flowers… this workshop is for you. Meet the faces behind the flowers! You will have the opportunity to meet Tina, part owner of Protea World. Hear her story and learn about native plants and the benefits they provide for your garden and for the native wildlife. You will also be accompanied by local florist, Tammy. She is currently in the process of nurturing and growing her own native flower farm in Victor Harbor. In this workshop she will share the basic techniques needed to get you started on your floral journey and provide you with tips on how to get the best from your arrangements. Throughout the workshop Tammy will also share her story on how she came to be working with flowers, her passion for sustainable floristry and the importance of knowing where your flowers come from. We hope you will leave not just with a gorgeous arrangement, but also feeling inspired to continue to play with more flowers from your garden (or foraged nearby!), and to do things in life that make you happy. What is included: - Fresh native flowers - Specialty vase - The use of floral equipment including secateurs and gloves for the duration of the workshop - Light food and drinks
